The Journey To Mumma's Wellness

Hello lovely people, my name is Emma, I live in Suffolk with my two beautiful daughters, my husband, and my dog Cookie.

Ever since I was a little girl, I wanted to be a mother, it was all I dreamed of. As I grew older, I began my career in Early Childhood Education, I loved it, but it was not where I destined to be forever. I then discovered that I was pregnant, and my oldest daughter was born in February 2020.

During my pregnancy it did not for one second occur to me that I needed to know about pregnancy, birth or beyond. I was an auntie to 4 beautiful babies, worked with babies so I naively thought I knew everything. Wow, I was wrong.

The pregnancy was long and terrifying, the birth was traumatic to say the least  and the events after it due to the pandemic led me feeling guilty, and overwhelmed.

I then suffered 3 subsequent losses before my second little girl was born and again the pregnancy and birth left me feeling deflated. I knew I wanted more children if i was lucky enough one day so something lit a fire inside me to find out everything I could about pregnancy, birth and beyond. I wanted to be able to support myself and also other women and mothers in a way I felt I was not.

I knew there must be other people that felt the way that I did, which is what brought me to establishing Mumma’s Wellness. A business dedicated to supporting mothers in all stages of the journey to having their baby, not just birth.

I believe that by having that extra support in these stages, you can have a more positive experience overall.
